Our Masters swimmers made a great start to 2016, winning twelve medals (seven of them gold) and setting six new Eastern Region and ten new Beds County records. Newcomer Karen MacKenzie had an impressive debut winning two golds and setting a new Beds County record over 50m Backstroke in the 40 – 44 year age group. Our men’s squad of Colin Mayes, Alastair Gibb, Dave Wright and Graham Powell gave Team Luton Masters their best ever result. It is the third successive year that Team Luton’s men have finished in the top 30 in the Masters’ team decathlon. Read here for more details.

Team Luton hosted Gala 2 of the 3rd and final round of the 2015/2016 National Arena League, London at Inspire: Luton Sports Village on 12 December.
In this round Team Luton were competing against Anaconda, Berkhamsted, Brompton, Enfield Swim Squad B, Greenwich Royals, Hitchin and Wandsworth. The Team Luton swimmers put in a magnificent performance recording 10×1st, 6×2nd and 14×3rd place positions.
The team finished in 3rd place on the night and finished 10th overall out of 16 clubs in division one. CLICK HERE for the full report.
Team Luton swimmers attended the Hatfield Winter Gala recently. The 47 swimmers amassed a haul of medals and personal best swims, including County and Regional qualifying times.CLICK HERE for a full report from the meet.

We did it! Our Masters squad retained the top Non-Midlands team trophy at the Etwall Eagles Masters meet.
It was a decisive win with the squad scoring more than double the points of East Leeds and Trafford Metro. Click here for a full report
Team Luton hosted the 2nd round of the 2015/2016 National Arena League London at Inspire: Luton Sports Village on 14 November.
In this round Team Luton were swimming against Berkhamsted, Brompton, Enfield Swim Squad B, Hemel Hempstead, Hitchin, Potters Bar and Saxon Crown.
After eighteen events Team Luton were placed in 4th position with only 8 points between them and the third placed team. After the next 8 races the gap was narrowed to only 2 points. With every team member swimming enthusiastically, they managed to move into third position after event 34 and stayed in this position to finish the gala in a commendable 3rd place. Twelve Team Luton swimmers took part in the East Swimming Short Course Championships over the weekend of 6/7/8 November. The championships are swum as an open competition with everyone swimming in the same age group and a single set of qualifying times.
