Team Luton’s men have rounded off a hugely successful 2015 season with the news that six members of the club have finished in the top twenty of the Bedfordshire Masters championships.

Top ten placings were gained by Graham Powell (third with 5,121points), Alastair Gibb (fourth with 4,110 points), Dave Wright (sixth with 3,810 points) and Colin Mayes (ninth with 3,280 points). Both Graham and Alastair had ten qualifying races in 2015 whilst Dave had nine and Colin eight.

Malcolm Barton swam in seven qualifying races to gain 2,252 points and finish in 15th place in the County just ahead of John O’Rourke in 16th position with 2,212 points from his nine races. Ian Norman finished in 35th place.

In the Ladies championship, Eloise Turner in her first ever Masters swimming season finished in 24th place (from only four races) whilst Glenda Mayes, returning to competition after a 14 year absence, ended the year in 25th place. With the recent influx of new female Masters, Team Luton’s women will be looking for more placings in the 2016 championships.
