Local swimmers make a splash thanks to the London Luton Airport Community Trust Fund

Team Luton in a close finish.

Team Luton made a visit to Dunstable on Saturday night (15th May) to take part in a trophy gala. Five teams were taking part altogether and Team Luton battled all night with local rivals Flitwick for the top spot.

Team Luton’s athletes put in some solid performances with many achieving personal best times. With a few first choice swimmers unavailable it was down to others to step in and ‘swim up’ which they did to good effect. After an exciting finish to the night with some brilliant racing in the relays Flitwick came out on top by a slender four point margin.

Team Luton’s Head Coach Pete Woodbridge commented – “A very strong performance by our team, especially some of our younger swimmers and a great nights racing. We look forward to competing against Flitwick again in our upcoming ‘Duel Meet’ this summer”.

Well done to all our swimmers who took part and congratulations to Flitwick Swimming Club.
