Notice to all members of Luton and Lewsey Centre Swimming Clubs

A Special General Meeting of Team Luton swimming club will be held on

Venue:              Function Room, Wardown Swimming and Leisure Centre, Bath Road, Luton 

1.     Approve the Team Luton Constitution (copies available on request from the Secretary or available from www.teamluton.com)

2.     Election of Executive Officers and Committee (a list of positions is available from the Secretary or available from www.teamluton.com)

3.     Resolutions:

a.   To propose that all honorary/life members of Luton Swimming Club and Lewsey Centre Swimming Club become honorary/life members of Team Luton from 1 May 2010

b.   To propose that the first AGM of Team Luton will be held in June 2011 in accordance with the adopted constitution

Everyone is invited to attend the meeting however in order to nominate and vote at the meeting you must be a fully paid up member of either Luton or Lewsey Centre Swimming Clubs and must satisfy the voting criteria specified in the respective club constitutions.

Nominations for all Executive Officers and Committee members must reach the Secretary by midnight 23^rd April 2010. All nominations must be made in writing and require a proposer and seconder. Nomination forms are available from either the Secretary or Parent Liaison Officers.

Team Luton swimming club is looking for new members to join the committee to help with the administration and operation of the club. There are a variety of jobs and roles that need to be filled each year to ensure the effective running of the club. The assignment of jobs is based on the individual’s preference taking into account the skills and experience they bring to the committee. The time commitment is dependent upon the individual and may range from a few hours on club nights to time spent on administration tasks at home. If you would like to learn more about the committee, please talk to any current Luton or Lewsey committee member.
