Welcome to our new Head Coach Jamie Fowler

We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Jamie Fowler as our Head Coach from February 2021.

Jamie joins us from the City of Birmingham Swimming Club where he is currently Development Squad coach, taking swimmers to regional standard and beyond.

He comes with a wealth of experience having been a swim coach for over 8 years. He swam competitively for 10 years including at Team Luton.

Building on a degree in sport and exercise sciences, he has worked with swimmers of all ages, coaching athletes who have competed at national and international level.

Over the past two seasons Jamie has been selected as a skills coach on the Swim England National Development Programme, working with swimmers from different clubs and alongside other coaches from across the country.

Over the last 18 months he has produced a coaching podcast, interviewing coaches at the forefront of the sport. This has been great for knowledge sharing and discussions on ideas and best practices across swimming.

Commenting on his appointment Jamie said: I am delighted to have be the new Head Coach of Team Luton. This is a club very close to my heart having given me the platform as a swimmer to achieve my best. As a coach I am hoping I can give something back to this club and help everyone involved better themselves and move to the next level.

We are thrilled to have Jamie join as head coach and look forward to supporting him in realising our shared ambitions for the Club.
